The Harvest of the Righteous

I am shaking the world and watching as My chosen rise to glory. Soon the world will take notice that I am real and I am manifesting My will upon the earth. You might believe that this will bring righteousness, peace, and joy to the world, but this will cause many to fear and attack. Give them no provocation, but stand for My truth and My glory in this hour, and I will stand with you. For what is written will come to pass and many will turn their backs on Me and many will hate Me and hate you for My sake. But I have not come for the many but the few, and each one is precious to Me. So stand for Me in this hour, and gather the fruit from among the thorns. For the harvest of the righteous is at hand.

Matthew 7:13-14

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Commentary

This prophetic word tells us that God is shaking the world, but that this will cause His chosen to rise to glory. But it is not clear what it means to rise to glory. Because glory in the world is not the same as glory in the Kingdom. If it is rise to glory in the world, then that means that the world will watch with admiration and approval as God’s chosen become media stars. The other option is that it means the world will watch as God’s chosen rise to His glory and approval. In this case the world will probably ridicule and reject His chosen. Consider this passage in James that indicates that favor with the world does not necessarily mean favor with God.

James 4:4

You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

The instruction to stand for God’s truth and God’s glory, as opposed to your own, is a stand that will take strength and courage. We are also instructed to give the world no provocation, which does not mean to compromise the truth but not to provoke a response to bring attention to yourself, because God is certainly able to create circumstances that will bring glory to Himself.

The rest of the word says that as the world will probably reject your stand, a chosen few will come forth and be changed. Therefore you cannot measure the effects of your stand by the favor or the majority, but more concerning to God is the calling forth of His chosen few. This is a hard subject to deal with since it means that most of this world will choose to stand against God. but the few that come in described as the ‘harvest of the righteous’ are worth the repercussions from the many.
